We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for a Family Practice (outpatient clinic) in northern New York. Will consider an experienced provider or new graduate. Other providers on site. Position consists of working in an outpatient clinic (most of the time) and also a hospital based clinic. The outpatient clinic hours are 7 :30 – 3:30 and the hospital based clinic hour are 9a – 9p. You may be able to work exclusively in the inpatient clinic with 12 hour shifts. Clinic days are M-Sun. Weekends will likely be 1 in 4. Anticipated will be 20-30 ppd. Compensation will be $78 – 105k with a comprehensive benefit package including 5 wks vacation, malpractice, health insurance, retirement, and 1 wk paid CME. Relocation assistance. Qualifications: Certification. The nurse practitioner must have an approved and current Nurse Practitioner's license/certificate with the National Registry of Nurse Practitioners.

Experience.  The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner shall have a minimum of 24 months within the past 36 months. 
A women's health nurse must have experience in direct patient care, education, administration, and/or research. He or she must have graduated from an OB/GYN nurse practitioner program (1-year program that is accepted by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties). 

Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to   provide comprehensive primary care to a select population of essentially healthy women and their babies in a variety of settings to include intrapartum management, postpartum care, and immediate newborn care,   Demonstrates knowledge, of growth and development, and pathophysiology of disease processes, specific to the obstetrical and gynecological population to include all ages of the spectrum from neonate to geriatrics. 

Knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders such as premature birth, fetal death, forceps delivery, and C sections, as well as broad knowledge of normal deliveries and their complications and indicated therapeutic intervention required.

Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations as required.  Knowledge of the administrative requirements for proper documentation of patients condition including disease progress, acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care. 
Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records. 
Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and make appropriate clinical decisions. 

Skill in setting up, operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers, and other unit specific equipment.

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a Rural Health Clinic in Coastal Alaska.  The Medical Director would prefer someone with experience but would consider a new or recent graduate with a very strong RN or EMT background.  The clinic hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm with an estimated patient volume of 20 per day.  The provider must be able to function autonomously with a physician back-up available via phone, but located within the community.  The responsibilities would include (80% clinical and 20% administrative work) The PA or NP would assess patients, order / interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plan and evaluate care and collaborate with physicians and other providers / specialists when needed.  The provider would oversee the pharmacy and CLIA waived Labs, prepare staff schedules, act as the CHA Program Supervisor and on-site trainer and act as a liaison with the local tribal government.    Base salary starting at $96,000-$103,000+ (D.O.E) with a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus and full relocation package!  This position has excellent benefits and qualifies under the NHSC for Federal and State Loan Repayment.  If you enjoy the excitement and scenic beauty that Alaska offers, then this would be a great opportunity for a strong and self reliant provider!  Come join their team today!
