The Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College
of Medicine in Houston TX,
is searching for a Nurse Practitioner with experience in Urology.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
1. Provide care to urology patients under the direction of a physician.
2. Conducts history and physical examination.
3. Initiates new patient or consult evaluation, including appropriate
laboratory and radiological tests.
4. Assists in implementing new patient or consult patient plan.
5. Working with established patients:
· Follow-up care post hospitalization.
· Assistance in care of patients who are on outpatient therapeutic
programs.
· Interim history and physical examination, with assistance
in laboratory and radiographic review of restaged patients and evaluating
long-term follow-up patients.
6. Provide patient care counsel.
7. Monitor and ensure accuracy of recording data in patient medical
records.
8. Arrange patient consultations and referrals.
9. To schedule patients for surgical procedures and to work closely
with the operating room in organizing the surgical schedule.
10. To be responsible for patient education in many areas including
describing any operative procedures that needs to be discussed in detail.
11. To handle all patient phone calls regarding patient problems, queries
for new patient appointments and details of our services, as well as all
medical problems. To respond to 90% of patient calls independently
without the need to defer them to the physician and to tell patients that
office appointments are needed when appropriate.
12. To attend all clinics in order to ensure that the patients are
properly triaged and appropriate tests are ordered when needed. Talk
with the patients about their surgical procedures - especially those requiring
micromanipulation, which requires addressing specific payment issues.
13. To assume the duties of the coordinator of the insemination program
during their absence.
Requirements:
1. Ability to perform history and physical examination.
2. The understanding and knowledge of laboratory values.
3. Ability to provide support and counsel to patient and patient’s
family.
4. Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
5. One year of urology nurse practitioner experience preferred.
6. Current licensing as a Registered Nurse and as a WHCNP/FNP by the
Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas and certification by a recognized
certified body for nurse and recognition by the Board of Nurse Examiners
as a Nurse Practitioner.

for a hematology-oncology position in Northern California. This opportunity

For this position, you will work dayshift hours,
around 40-50 hours a week. You will treat cancer care patients on

Post Acute Rehabilitation NP/PA Seeking a nurse practitioner
to join an integrated post acute rehabilitation team serving individuals
with acquired brain injury and other associated medical problems. Duties
include comprehensive histories and physicals, daily monitoring, weekly
progress notes, annual medical summaries, and primary care for approximately
30 patients. In addition, he/she will communicate regularly with attending
physicians, a physician assistant and attend scheduled team rounds, serve
as a liaison to other staff and externally based healthcare providers,
and attend program development meetings. Prefer a conscientious, compassionate
team player with professional/personal integrity, and experience in physiatry,
neuropsychiatry, neurology and/or long term care. Hours are Monday through
Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm, with participation in a rotating weekly after hours

Rotating Shifts The purpose of this position is to assist in the promotion,

The Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery seeks
women's health nurse practitioner for 32 hour position. NP would be responsible
for care of medical and surgical patients, and will work both independently
and collaboratively with the physicians. Provides follow up care and management
of patients in the ambulatory and inpatient settings. Supervises residents
and medical students caring for said patients. Differentiates between normal
and stable findings and those that require treatment, consultation, and/or
referral. Formulates a health plan, and determines those cases that require
consultation and/or referral with the physician or other healthcare professional.
Experience in the care of patients with urinary and pelvic organ prolapse
helpful.
Two or more years of experience as a women's health nurse practitioner
is required. Master's Degree from accredited RN and NP program required.
Must be board certified by the National Certification Corporation as a
Womens Health Care Nurse Practitioner. Massachusetts Advanced Practice
Nursing License and Mass Controlled Substance Registration required. Federal
