The American Institute of Gastric Banding (AIGB) is an industry-leading
network of health care professionals specializing in the treatment and
care for morbid obesity, with the most comprehensive system for the treatment
of obesity, through a network of physicians, health care professionals,
surgical centers and support and aftercare resources, specializing in the
Lap-Band procedure.
We are growing rapidly and are ready to add our second mid-level provider.We
currently have immediate openings for a PA or NP at our Houston surgery
center at the Medical Center. This is an opportunity to work for an INDUSTRY
LEADER and be involved in all aspects of care of bariatric Lap-Band patients.
Responsibilities include adjustments to the Lap-Band via a mediport
under fluoroscopy, long term follow-up teaching and patient management,
preoperative consultations including history, physical exams and diagnostic
testing, and program development.
Strong clinical skills, an affinity for procedures, an interest in health
education, and an ability to communicate with a diverse patient population
are all a must. A background in critical-care, special-procedures,
or radiology is preferred, but we are willing to train those motivated
to care for our patient population. Must be BLS and ACLS certified within
30 days of employment. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved
